Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from West Chester University; Cum Laude in 1990. She holds a PA Teaching Certificate and current teaching clearance documents. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association (PMTA), Main Line Music Teacher Association (MLMTA), the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia, and the Flute Society of Washington.
She has been teaching private music lessons on piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and other instruments, since the late 1980s at her own music studio, Taylor's Music in West Chester, and Music & Arts in Exton. In her extensive teaching career, she has also taught band, orchestra, choir, and general music in the school system and homeschool co-ops. She specializes in personalizing each lesson to the needs, interests and goals of her students from preschool through adult. This individualized approach helps them achieve their highest playing abilities through comprehensive musicianship, teamwork, and performance opportunities. |
Pamela Johnson has performed in numerous chamber ensembles, solos, orchestras, concerts, recitals, weddings, receptions, parties, churches, nursing homes, musical pit orchestras, and community events on flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and piano. (Please see below.) Ms. Johnson is currently the co-owner of Keyboard Companions as well as Director of Music at Fairview Church in Glenmoore, PA. At Fairview, she plays for worship services and live streams on flute, piano, organ, and voice and directs the choirs and praise team. She also produces and directs bi-annual cantatas for choir and orchestra. Her piano accompaniment skills have florished with many choirs, soloists. small chamber ensembles, and worship teams. She also has played organ and piano in many local churches. |
