Thomas Alberici, pianist and instructor
Thomas Alberici, M.A. summa cum laude from Villanova University, is a piano
instructor for all ages and levels of experience. Mr. Alberici has been teaching
for over 20 years and is ranked among the area’s top instructors. He studied
classical piano performance and education at West Chester University of
Pennsylvania at the graduate level and continues to advance his musical
education in piano technique, pedagogy, theory, composition, and
musicology. Mr. Alberici has been classically trained by some of the world’s
top piano virtuosi in the ‘Russian Tradition’ of piano playing and he
maintains a special focus on the vast romantic piano repertoire of the 19th
Century, in addition to many other styles (Baroque, Classical, Modern, Jazz,
and Pop).
Mr. Alberici has developed a progressive and comprehensive approach to
teaching that allows students to achieve success and enjoy music from day
one and for many years to come. After many years of careful and thorough
research, Mr. Alberici teaches from a detailed and progressive curriculum
designed to guide students from the earliest stages of learning through to
the standard advanced piano literature. All styles of music are represented in
his curriculum, giving students a broad experience and preparation for a
variety of musical settings.
Mr. Alberici has performed as a guest soloist at the Kimmel Center Cultural
Campus Academy of Music and has performed at various local universities
and venues, and is in the National Honor Roll of the American College of
Musicians National Guild of Piano Teachers. He has recorded for Acte
Prealable Records on the world premiere recording of the Complete Piano
Works of Maria Szymanowska and served as a musicologist for the world
premiere recording of the Piano Works of Karoly Agghazy. Mr. Alberici is also
‘tri-lingual’ in English, Italian, and Spanish.
